Gaël Martin-Micallef has been working as a lawyer at the Secretariat of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (better known as the Venice Commission, www.venice.coe.int) for 13 years. 

Gaël Martin-Micallef has been working as a lawyer at the Secretariat of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (better known as the Venice Commission, www.venice.coe.int) for 13 years. The Venice Commission is an institution of the Council of Europe (www.coe.int) specialised in constitutional engineering. In this respect, Gaël Martin-Micallef is specialised in constitutional law and more precisely in electoral law and law dealing with political parties and financing of political parties and electoral campaigns

Former Rapporteur for the France’s National Commission for Campaign Accounts and Political Financing (http://www.cnccfp.fr/presse/kit/cnccfp_en.pdf), Gaël Martin-Micallef is also a former elected municipal councillor and publication Coordinator of a handbook on elections in France issued in 2007. He is lecturer in various institutions and universities.
