Ms. Lina Petronienė has 9 years of experience in control of political parties and campaign funding. She works in the Central Electoral Commission (hereinafter – the CEC) of the Republic of Lithuania since 1996 (with break), as a head of the Division of Political Parties and Political Campaigns Funding Control since 2007. The CEC is a permanent supreme state institution for organising and conducting elections and referendums in Lithuania. One of its functions is the control of Funding of political parties and political campaigns.

Lina Petronienė cooperates with service providers identifying the needs of development of information system for the monitoring not only political campaigns’ finances, political advertising, but also the membership fees, financial statements of political parties. She conducts seminars on funding and accounting of political campaigns and political parties, political advertising.

She participates in working groups preparing drafts of legal acts, worked with implementation of GRECO recommendations on Transparency of Party Funding.

Lina Petronienė worked as Short-term expert in IPA 2010 Twinning light project “Strengthening the system of supervision of political activities and electoral campaign financing” (Croatia) in 2014, which was implemented successfully.

She has an experience of observing election in different countries since 1999.

Lina Petronienė a Master degree in Informatics from Vilnius University and Law from Mykolas Romeris University (Vilnius).
